My Story

I know what it's like to feel lost and lonely in the world of dating. I've been there myself. I turned 40 in 2020 and was in a relationship of three years that I was not happy with. I had a waning unmaintained friends circle and was experiencing social anxiety. I was also having strange health problems that were totally terrifying. When the pandemic hit in 2020, things of course got even worse and it was around then that I decided things have got to change.

I started with exercise and nutrition. I began working on a daily routine that promoted more ‘healthy’ lifestyle choices. I found some things that ‘worked’ - I started loosing weight, not having as many back problems, felt less bloated and tired overall but something was still missing. From the pandemic came a deepening level of social anxiety. I was afraid to even interface with neighbors when I would take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood. I felt really alone.

It wasn’t just me who was suffering during 2020, a close friend of mine whom I talked to on a regular basis was having some severe distressing physical and emotional struggles. Encouraging someone to see a therapist is not an easy thing to do. To begin with it’s hard to communicate the value of it and in most cases even if you decide to try it - it doesn’t solve all issues at once - so it’s a hard sell and a long game. But as I knew from my past when I was seeing a therapist on a regular basis, the benefits were staggering. At the time I didn’t think I had the same kind of a need for a therapist but I decided to look into one for myself to set an example for my friend. I started my therapist search looking for someone who had a focus on life coaching, as at the time I was dialing into a healthy routine that I wanted to take accountability for.

After a couple of tries I found a fantastic therapist who was game to help with my healthy lifestyle goals. We had a few sessions where we started exploring what it means to have a healthy lifestyle but as you might have guessed, the sessions quickly evolved into exploring deeper emotional underpinnings to my goals. We gradually started exploring my relationships to my parents, friends and the outside world.

Through this process, I learned a lot about myself and what I was looking for in a partner. I also learned how to communicate my needs and boundaries effectively. As a result, I was able to attract the right people into my life and build meaningful relationships.

I'm now on a mission to help others do the same. I believe that everyone deserves to find love and happiness. That's why I offer coaching to help people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the world of dating.
